With the naming ceremony held last month KALLIO, it's official. Antarctic Enabler and was renamed the "The Ship". With its new name, the ship stepped into a new era and a renewed mission. The entire design process of the vessel was carried out by NSK Design, while the conversion work was carried out by Norse Shipyard, with only 3.5 months The project was successfully completed in such a short period of time. Thanks to instant and transparent communication and a joint solution-oriented approach, all technical requirements were quickly resolved and the process progressed both efficiently and smoothly. This project demonstrates once again that successful shipbuilding is not only possible with technical competence, but also with the right partnerships, mutual trust and strong co-operation. This comprehensive transformation is in line with Antarctic Enabler's vision to support sustainable solutions in krill fishing, in full compliance with its new mandate, and to ensure that a dry cargo vessel can provide logistical and technical support to krill operations in Antarctica.
